the queen goes you-tubing

now that Queen Elizabeth has gone to You Tube, perhaps it is time for us peasants to do something too!

usually the queen posts her traditional christmas speech on television but this year, she has decided to post it on YouTube as well. it's not going to be released till christmas day so just check out her very first tv broadcast 50 years ago HERE.

there is this 'new' singer i found, at first i thought she is japanese simply because i have only heard her japanese songs. then after reading up, turns out she is actually korean. her stage name, mink, actually means Made IN Korea. very interesting. the song is called Innocent Blue which i got to know through a japanese movie i watched on a plane (without english subtitles, very champion).

the movie is called 蒼き狼 地果て海尽きるまで The Blue Wolf, To the ends of the earth and sea.(蒼き狼/Aoki-Ookami, literally means Blue Wolf).

just to side step a little, 蒼い means "azure". Azure is actually a color between blue and cyan, commonly referring to bright blue, something like the color of the skies on a bright and clear day.

the movie is actually about Genghis Khan and his land-conquering-life, as we know except it's the japanese version. playing mr.genghis khan is takashi sorimachi/反町隆史, the guy in GTO.

woohoo. it is sunday!
as you can see, there is only ONE photo. why? forgot to bring out camera ...
haha

brunch was vegemite with porridge
porridge was ... strange. the folks said they wanted to buy brown rice (healthy!) but they got wrong stuff. turned out to be some grains. very tough to cook, tasted like barley... ha. ew.


this is the end of my food week! not too boring i hope. phew.

saturdays are meant to be lazy. no breakfast.
i think i woke up sometimein the mid afternoon.
so i warmed up the carrot (or is it yam) cake and made a ribenaa.


then then, i had a yummilicious snack!
found this new cheese which turned out to be cream cheese. i think this is a new product from australian gold.
oooh. herb&garlic cream cheese!
put them on some crackers.


more fridge food.
chai taw kueh plus chilli plus corned beef (the one the cat tried to eat)

another monmilk day!


couldn't fathom what was breakfast till i lifted the bread. tunaflakes.


lunch=burger king.
not so many pictures today. must be getting lazzzy.


more fast food for dinner. i like the shrimps, i like the crumbs but i don't like the service.

sometimes, i start real early, breakfast. with a pack of mobile milk. so i can walk to the bus stop without missing my bus.

this is from china but it taste quite yummy, if you like those very powdery taste, like milk powder. not the fresh milk.


you can see only half cup of coofee, that is because of monmilk's fault. so full. plus breakfast is of a strange shape.



oh oh, lunch at cedele depot. the store at republic plaza.
the staff did not look too happy.

had a spinach quiche which they didnt ask me if i want that heated (which i do not care actually)


plus potato salad as a side.


and iced lemon tea.
had the lunch with a new luncheon mate. can you see her mushroom burger in the background?


well, dinner.
went home to finish up whatever in the fridge and yes, it's fried rice paradise again!
this time, i had it mixed with corned beef.


corned beef on the side. can't finish a whole can.
it tastes good with extra onions. and black pepper.
ah. i realised there wasn't any onions in the house so i had to make do with shallots.


open up a nice cold beer


and watch titanic, part two (see previous entry)!
ship is sinking....
they are trapped...


i let backy in for a tour so when she was done with her dinner, she came and kaypo mine.
