caT
the breeze is nice tonight.
i was sitting at my doorstep, looking at the limited night skies.
no stars
caT was eating her supper away. she polished it in a flat 3.5mins
i was eatin mine too.
then she came over. still hungry you?
okay you can have some of my crackers and vegemite.
just a little dab though
ooh she likes my tablewater.
had 3 altogether. high class caT.
she wanted more but i said no. what am i going to eat if you finish everything?
so she jumped onto my shoe cabinet instead.

KL
last last weekend the dwarfs went to KL.
this was a short trip to see papa n baby.
we figured the best way to get there was to drive so we scooted there on
saturdae and came back sundae evening.
here are the pictures i took
(apparently no one brought camera, so i made do with my phone)
here we are, having funn in our room when we got there finally after 5hours drive.
and getting lost of course
shop till you get a discount card in a foreign country!
that is baby Algren and our beloved papa. of course, the rest you see are tourist posing for pictures with mr. petronas..
on the way back, who could resist a meal of a&w?

russian!
on tuesday, i had russian food for dinner. saw somewhere that there is this nice little russian restuarant, so i wanted to try.
it is located at arab street, where u get fabrics and rattan baskets and all.
it has outdoor seats. although it was already evening time, it was still quite hot, so hey let's sit indoors.
was greeted by this chinese-looking lady and presented with a small menu. hmmm.. let's see what they have.. ok luckily it was in english. you know how some japanese restaurants have only japanese menu..
we were gonna share all the food, since this is the first time and we dunno what to eat. ok.
ordered 4 kinds and i had a beer.
(oh it was german beer, i was thinking, would the lady twist my arm off since they are serving RUSSIAN stuff. was thinking of having a vodka, but i think it was too early for a vodka, perhaps beer will do)
there was another table in the house, this middle age couple. i guess they are russian since they were speaking the the lady. i mean, i could roughly guess too.
oh yes, the chinese-looking lady speaks perfect russian. you wouldnt have guessed. and her english was accented too. i still wonder where is she from.
hey hoe, the first and second dish came.
no.1 was buns filled with ingredients. One was beef, couscous (i think). The other one was vegetable.
no.2 was Borsh - hot soup with beetroot and meat. served with a dollop of sour cream.
the buns are small but yummy.. ooh.
borsh is nice too. something new. soup with sour cream, you don't get that everyday you know.
no.3 was Pelmeni.
Pelmeni - basically it looks like chinese dumpling, with beef inside. the pelmeni was not floating in soup or anything. so they were just boiled and came with sour cream on the side(of course!)
i liked that too. yum.
they had those in vegetable too - Vareniky
no.4 was potato pancakes.ooh when i saw that, i KNEW i had to order. the pancakes had sour cream (yes..) on the side. love potatoes!
all in all, i really enjoyed it. cosy place. yummy food. nice lady.
the next time, i shall have a Stolichnya.

lost
the day i posted my..
ezlink card.
it was just like any normal day.. yes, running late for work
had to drop off some company mails before i hit the train station.
nowadays, the post boxes are put outside the stations, think they are scared of some attacks.
whatever
so happy me was holding the letters, mobile n ezlink.
tada.. i posted my letters.
by the time i reached the control station, i realise i only have my mobile in my hands!
where did my ezlink go?!
oh
i think i posted it.
darn.
tried to call singpost and ask for it. yay. they said they found one:
"please come down to the post center and pick it up"
happily i thought i am so lucky (since when?)
went to see Mr. C
hello, where is my card?
here you go. is this yours?
....
i don't think so.
cos it has a printclub sticker
of a mother and a boy

farewell
yesterdae was a farewell dinner for my colleague, 関さん
we went to the sichuan restaurant on top of uob plaza
when we stepped in, i thought, i am so gonna die because the cuisine is super spicy
they ordered beer (being japanese..)
and the set dinner
had mini cold dishes- chilli cuttlefish, ma la beancurd with cashew nuts, long beans, spicy ham
next came the sharksfin, which i over-peppered it.
then the cod fish, nicely steamed with soya sauce.
came along another spiced up dish, prawns in sweet and ma la sauce.
oh then more spicy stuff, really soft sotong drizzled in thai-like curry with chillies generously sprinked
ooh, my throat was yelling for help already by then.
i couldn't finish that, only had one small piece and pushed the whole plate to 関さん
luckily the last one was long beans, no chilli whatsoever. thank you!
dessert was 豆花, their specialty. i gobbled it down greedily, not because it was nice or i liked it, only because the rest of them literally 'drank it'. in a hurry huh?
they were in awed of the scenery, since we were on the 62nd floor.
石崎さんeven asked me how's the disco on the top most floor of Swiss Stamford. hahaha. i told him the scenery is better, think about it, you'll be 10 floors higher.
well apparently the chilli and all were not such a good idea for me
thanks for everything 関さん!
