Japan In Autumn, part one.

i went to Japan in Sep 08. Yes, it is now Feb 09 and only the photos have appeared. but at least they appeared!

went with J. we managed to secure the A380 on the way to Tokyo. took off from T3.

here is my adventure. enjoy.

t3

a new kind of waiting lounge, like the States type where different flights congregate.

on board!

brought my m&ms

mealtime. not as delicious as i would like it to be

arrived in Tokyo and couldn't resist a sneak at the plane.

because we had to connect to a domestic flight from Narita to Haneda, we hopped onto a limousine bus.

haneda airport. 羽田空港. nice and rather spacious

on the top level, there is this observatory. the difference from singapore's? you are actually outdoor and freezing!!

lunch at the airport. soba with tempura

arriving at New Chitose Airport, we took a train to our hotel and dumped our luggage. went out for a walk at Sapporo Station and had dinner.

basically dinner was omu-rice. well, it means omelette rice. look at the display, it looks delicious enough to be eaten.

night, outside the Sapporo Station. 札幌駅

The next day, we woke up for breakfast at the lobby. Onigiri (rice ball) with miso soup and tea. all you can eat.

Headed towards the market and this is the covered walkway for shopping. Too early, too empty.

market

i love the veg. so fresh. so cheap.

this is Pachinko Slots! basically this is like a gaming arcade. or rather like a mini casino. the machines are like slot machines. you put in the coin, hope the ball bearings drop at a certain spot then you get some sorta bonus. then you win more ball bearings. that is when you can exchange for gifts. alas... boo have no luck. so that's for fun.
