hongkong, december 2008

i realized, that i tend to blog about my trips, generally one year later... heh.

this is about my Hong Kong trip, almost a year ago. I went with my folks. Very nice weather.

here goes!

airplane meal~ some sort of omu rice. yum. eggs for me anytime.


the bus we took the hotel routed to the disney hotel along the way.



and no, we did not stay here. although i think i won't mind that much...


first meal, where else but the hongkong cafe. authentic. pow wow service but efficient.


dad couldn't resist ordering the goose drum.

next up, more hk cafe.


how can you not have their famous milk tea.


and the sandwich. corned beef.


had to go for tim sum breakie no matter what so we went to this restaurant near to our hotel.


cantonese dumpling. just so delicious!


pan fried carrot cake, another dish i couldn't resist!

folks was looking for this stationery shop, more like for the paper, brushes and chinese stuff


the old and the new, the tram and the bus.


visited some street or something like that...



yes, we went during the end of the year. were told there will be wonderful fireworks on 31 Dec. since we were staying pretty near to harbourside, we joined the crowds to welcome the new year.

the next day, we took a day trip out to Lantau Island to see the big buddha.

hongkong is really quite pretty. took the star ferry across.





during this night, i met up with Des since she was also visiting HK. waiting for her at a busy station.


we went for drinks at the top of this building at Lan Kwai Fong!

ookay, back to regular HK fare.

shopping time! this is a realli HUGE muji store.


oh oh, when you are in HK, do not ever forget the desserts. we went to Tang Dynasty, a shop famous for its desserts. this is grass jelly.
