Japan in Autumn, Part Seven

more more! here is part SEVEN! this time, i have made up my mind to put lots of pictures. to share with everyone.

ended part SIX with snacks for supper. after that, we had to make our own beds. so what do you do?

first, you move the lil table aside, to make room.

then you look for the hidden treasure

drag the mattress out of the wardrobe

lay on some clean sheets

don't forget the half-bean pillow

and also to stop to have fun

lastly, get the duvet out! and time for bed~

bright and early, make sure you wake up for the breakie that you have paid for. the lady-owner have cooked up a storm for breakie. check it out.

one of the items, natto=fermented beans. sticky. this bean is one of those super subjextive foods. love it, hate it. you decide. the first time i tried, i was in Kumamoto 熊本 about ten years ago. we were fed the beans to go with rice for breakie in Kyoko's house. all of us hated it since. however, i have grown to like it quite a bit. it goes really well with a bowl of steaming rice.
try it someday.

oh look, the western portion. bacon & eggs!

right after breakie, we had to leave.
another beautiful morning.

remembered my shoes being wet from the rain? didn't really want to wear it, so i hung it instead.

by the time we reached Nikko日光, it was almost sunset.

settled in for a western dinner. not forgetting to try the local beer.

that goes with my hamburger.

wipe your mouth, with SHILKY TOUCH

bought a couple cans of beer for the night. both belongs to Sapporo Beer.

the lil hotel for night, provided a simple breakie the next morning. needless to say, my eyes twinkled upon seeing juice and eggs.

time for a whole day of sightseeing. actually this is the second time i have been to Nikko. the last time i came here, i was travelling alone. See the same area, one and a half years ago, here. This is Toshogu Shrine 東照宮

Shinkyo bridge 神橋

Yomeimon Gate 陽明門

ermmm.. sorry not sure.

this day happened to be some school children's excursion day. how lucky for me.

did not see this the last time i was here, apparently, this is the Sacred Horse.
